Hisago is very famous for the Oyakodon. Most of the Taiwanese bloggers will recommend to have the Oyakodon here after visiting Kiyomizu-dera. Actually, it's next to the Kōdai-ji.

People are waiting on the bench next to the restaurant. The time is around 3:30 PM and there are 15 to 20 people there. A good thing is that people can finish the Oyakodon in a short period of time. Even there are 20 people, you may not need to wait for a long time. For me, I was waiting for 30 minutes.

No doubt, just order the Oyakodon, ¥ 1,010, An interesting thing is that it also provides Mandarin menu, but the name of the dishes are very strange. I don't know if it's translated by a translation software and without proofreading.

Tea, side dishes and the Oyakodon. Almost 6 years ago, I had a chance to have Oyakodon in Tokyo, and it's so delicious, so different than the ones I had in Taiwan. I made a decision at that moment, I will never try Oyakodon in Taiwan anymore. This is the first time I eat Oyakodon after then. The egg is so soft and sweet and also for the chicken. To eat the rice with the liquid egg, it's so good~

Kōdai-ji is near Kiyomizu-dera. After visiting Kiyomizu-dera, I just follow the signs to walk here.

On the way to Kōdai-ji, you may go through the ninenzaka and the sannenzaka. There are so many stores in this area. Since I came here by my own, I didn't spend time for shopping here. It took me around 10 minutes. Some people may spend more than two hours to visit those small stores.

Just before arriving Kōdai-ji, there is a welcome sign here. And I learn something from the sign. Some Japanese may called the traditional Chinese for Taiwanese. I don't know if this is a good misunderstanding or bad one...

The map of Kōdai-ji.

You may pay ¥ 600 to get in the Houjyo (Main Building) and it's OK to take photos in the building which is unusual. Of course I cannot recognize the what above article is writing. I took a photo because it's the first time for it to show publicly.

The temple garden. There are much more people here compares to the Komyoin. It's not so calm here, so I just take some photos and leave.

The major view for maples is surrounding this pond, the crouching dragon pond.

A beautiful bamboo forest.

I don't why they put a dragon head here. Maybe because there is a crouching dragon pond here.

Before leaving the garden, I found that the eaves tile is marked with Kōdai-ji which I didn't see in other temples.

(Kiyomizu-dera)

The Kiyomizu-dera, for me, is one of the top 3 temples, Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji and Kiyomizu-dera, in Kyoto.

Leaving Fushimi Inari-taisha, I took the Keihan Main Line from Fushimi Inari to Kiyomizu-Gojō Station and followed the signs to Kiyomizu-dera. It takes about 20 minutes by walk.

The map of Kiyomizu-dera.

The Nio Mon, it looks so red and clean. It's so beautiful. If there is blue sky, it should be more beautiful.

The Pagoda with maples.

The Hondo, the main hall. The track where I took above photos is still under construction. It's so crowded and not easy to take photos. It's still so beautiful.

A different view of the Hondo.

The Otowa no taki, the Otowa Waterfall. The visitors catch each of the three streams of pure water with ladles and pray for purification of their six senses and to make their wishes come true. You can easily tell there is a line for catching the water.

Below are different corners in the Kiyomizu-dera:

A track with mush less visitors. People can take an easy walk. The lady weared kimono is taking photos with her phone. Maybe I should name it, Old days, New technology.

A nice place to have some desserts with the red maples.

When people ask for a sign for something that make them worry and get a bad sign. People will tight the sign at somewhere at the temple means the bad thing/sign go away. So, maybe I should name it Go away bad things.
