[Japan] 奈良,福興寺 (Kohfukuji Temple)

在京都享用完午餐炸牛排之後,我搭乘JR奈良線抵達奈良,走了十五分鐘左右才抵達我今晚的小公寓,就位在猿澤池旁,很快地放下行李,就來到了猿澤池旁的福興寺。運氣不太好的是,大概有一半以上的建築正在整修,所以我大概只待了十五分鐘左右就離開了。
Take the metro from Kyoto to Nara, the first thing is to find where I will stay. It's just next to the Sarusawa-ike Pond, so the first place I went after I put down my luggage is Kohfukuji Temple. The area is not that big, and half of the buildings are in re-construction. So I think I only spent 15 minutes here.



同被列為日本國寶的東金堂與五重塔,拍起來挺有氣勢的! 
The Eastern Golden Hall and the Five Storied Pagoda, both of them are recognized as national treasure of Japan.


另外國寶館也是開放的,正展示阿修羅像,只是沒有相關背景知識,我就沒有進去參觀了。 
There is a National Treasure Museum here, and the show now is the Asura statue.

[Taiwan] 台北,捷運西湖站,醉燈食居 (Zuei Deng)

在一個週五夜晚,沒考慮好要吃什麼就來到捷運西湖站,想說這邊有市場,又臨近內科的餐廳區,沒想到,晚上八點半左右,市場的餐廳就關得差不多了,內科的餐廳(或是咖啡廳),又都過了最後點餐時間,或許還有甜點可點,但我實在不想吃甜的東西當正餐呀(雖然此時吃正餐,似乎晚了一點~),一路逛到九點初頭,才在285巷尾發現有間居酒屋─醉燈食居,真是救星呀!而且裡面客人還不少,來試試吧!
On a Friday night, I was looking for my dinner near the Metro Xihu station around 8:30 PM. Maybe I haven't been here for a long time, most of the restaurants are closed... Finally, I found Zuei Deng after almost 40 minutes searching. I was starving.


菜單挺大一份的,基本上居酒屋會有的餐點,這兒都有,也有常見的主廚推薦(打星號)。
There are many things on the menu. Those with a star is what the chef recommended.


免費的招待菜─毛豆,口味不錯,倒是份量出乎我意料地多,可能吃了快五分鐘才吃完(雖然沒有很專心地吃,但也可稍微想見那份量),略有點可惜的是毛豆不大,比較不飽滿一點。
The free appetizer from the chef, the soybeans. It's a lot with good taste which is over my expectation although the beans are a little bit small, ha~


由左至右是雞肉蔥串,培根捲金針菇以及鹽蔥豬五花,好吃,算是一般居酒屋的水準,豬五花烤得QQ的,口感特別點,很不錯吃。
The grilled chicken, beacon and pork. They are good with general taste. 


日式炒烏龍,麵條挺Q的,口味適中,不錯的一道,可以填飽肚子的主食。
The Yaki Udon, an easy, simple and delicious main dish.


帶皮玉米筍,很貼心地把玉米皮掐頭去尾,再劃開一刀,好剝很多,比較不容易被燙到,不過不知是不是季節關係,玉米筍會甜,但沒有之前吃過得那麼樣,會甜死人的感覺~
The corn on the cob. It's sweet and the chef is also sweet, he opened most of the cornmeal for you. So you can easily eat it when it just grilled.


香烤中卷是這兒最讓我驚艷的一道菜,我會推薦為「必點」,烤得非常香,非常嫰,我又很愛那QQ的口感,再加上非常大一條,目測至少是25~30公分長,吃得超級過癮的,應該是我吃過最滿足的一次,在這麼餓的夜晚吃到它,真是大大~滿足~
The squid is the thing make me wow. It's so big and chewy. I guess only the body has 25 to 30 centimeters. I think it's the biggest one I have at a izakaya, maybe I can say either the seafood restaurants. It grilled really well, not just finger-licking, also make me feel so satisfied.

以上總價760元,真的是C/P值很高的一間居酒屋,尤其是在晚上九點以後還能有這樣的選擇,真的是幸福!
Total costs 760 for tonight. The food is not only delicious, but also has high C/P ratio.

[Taiwan] 台北,捷運市政府站,德州牛排



週三晚上,和朋友約在微風松高的德州牛排吃飯,我們點了一個火烤德州牛排加上冠軍豬肋排,且由於週三有啤酒與瑪格麗特買一送一的優惠活動,我們還點了兩杯的路德斯淡啤(只有500 ml才有買一送一)。
On a Wednesday night, I went to Texas Roadhouse with a friend, because it has special offer for the bears, buy one get one free. So we ordered the sirloin steak 8 oz. with ribs and roadhouse white ale (500 ml).


很順口的淡啤,輕鬆喝。
The bear is really smooth, easy to drink.


餐前麵包,可無限續點,香酥的口感,微微偏甜的調味,好吃,只是不知為何,我吃了兩個就覺得有點膩了,故沒有再續。
The free bread, it's sweet and delicious. Don't know why, I was tired after I ate two. So I didn't ask for more even it's free.




主餐是三分熟的沙朗牛排,四根的豬肋排,以及一顆烤馬鈴薯,口感很綿密的馬鈴薯,灑點鹽巴,很好吃;平常我很少吃肋排,因為調味都偏甜,容易膩,這塊肋排烤得很軟嫩,口味上只有淡淡的甜味,我喜歡;重點戲的牛排,侍者的建議是對的,沙朗一般比較韌,但因為只有三分熟的關係,仍然吃得出牛肉的軟嫩,肉也還不到韌,有點QQ的,烤得很不錯的一塊牛排,好吃!
The main dishes with one side dish, the grilled potato. The meat is so good. The ribs are soft and just a little bit sweet. It's detectable. The steak is cooked really good, rare is good for sirloin. Still keep it soft with chewy taste. It's really finger licking.

[Taiwan] 台北,捷運東門站,吳留手串燒居酒屋 - 麗水店 (Wu Liu Shou)

吳留手串燒居酒屋在台北應該算是一間名店,如果不預約,其實不太容易有位子,某個週日晚上,在開店前(約下午五點五十分)就來到吳留手串燒居酒屋(麗水店)看看是否有位子,運氣不錯,還有空位,等個十分鐘就入座了。
Wu Liu Shou, it's a very famous izakaya in Taipei. Usually you may need to call to reserve the seats. On a Sunday evening, we've tried to arrive here before it opened (around 5:50 PM), it's lucky that they still have two seats.


門口就貼著菜單,老實說,價格有點偏高。
The menu. To be honest, the food here is a little bit expensive compares to the others.


櫃台前放了一些鬼太郎玩偶裝飾,還挺特別的。
The dolls, they are old comics.


算是常見的小菜,毛豆。

由於前幾天才喝到好喝的黑啤酒,這個晚上我第一次在居酒屋點黑啤─Asahi黑生啤酒,棉密的泡沫,滑順的口感,好喝~
Couple days before I came here, I just had really good black bear. So I tried Asahi black bear this night. It's good. The bubbles are smooth, and so does the bear. 


鹽燒雞心,烤得非常好,鮮嫰有嚼勁,非常好吃。
The chicken heart, it's finger-licking good. The chicken heart is something easy to be overcooked, here grilled really good, so chewy.


鹽烤松板豬,算是一般。

玉米筍,還算是鮮甜,只是沒有我預期的甜,不過有六隻倒是超出了我的期待。 
The corn on the cob, not as sweet as I expected, but it's a lot. There are 6 of them, usually 3 to 4.


鹽烤雞肉蔥串,這是近日我在居酒屋都會點的一道菜,或許是因為容易料理,或許雞腿肉加蔥串的組合就是那麼美味,雞腿肉甜嫰有嚼勁,加上淡淡蔥香,非常棒!
The chicken with green onion. This is the new thing I always have when eating at izakaya. 



午魚一夜乾(午魚一夜干),或許因為先風乾過,一夜乾的油脂總是很飽滿,再配合魚肉的鮮美,超級好吃的。
The ichiyaboshi of threadfin. it's juicy and scrumptious. 


牛肉炒飯,我很喜歡這樣粒粒分明,又帶著油香的炒飯,好吃。 
The fried rice with beef. It's zesty.


櫻花蝦炒高麗菜,清脆的口感,挺不錯吃的,本來這應該是最後一道料理,不過因為看到別桌的培根捲鮮干貝讓我流口水,忍不住就多點了一道。 
The fried cabbage. It's sweet and refreshing, really good. This is a good ending. But I found they have the scallop with beacon when the waiter serves other table, I just can't stop myself to order it.



培根捲鮮干貝,鮮甜的干貝,加上有著鹹香的培根,這搭配真的很完美,超讚的!
The scallop is so sweet, with the salty beacon, so fantastic. I feel satisfied when finish it.

《不懂神話,就只能看裸體了啊》,顧爺著

近十幾,二十年來,台灣其實有許多向西方借展的畫作展出,雖然不常去,但也去逛了幾次,有不少畫作,其實真的是看不懂寓意,只能看看畫上的裸女是不是漂亮,沒想到,這次在逛書店時,居然看到一本書把我的心聲講出來了,《不懂神話,就只能看裸體了啊》~

看完之後,我覺得這本書,其實是本非常好的工具書,最有價值的,是兩張表格,一張是希臘神話的關係表,另一張則是希臘羅馬神名對照表。

希臘神話的關係,簡單講,就是以第三代神王─宙斯為中心,然後,很多的女神,女人都跟他有一腿,所以,只要在畫中看到美女加動物,大概畫的就是宙斯的偷情故事了;既然宙斯是第三代神王,往上就有第二代神王─克羅納斯(Cronus或Kronos,十二泰坦巨神之一),再往上的第一代神王則是烏拉諾斯(Uranus,亦稱為天空之神),由於神是不老不死的,無法像人類王朝那樣地改朝換代,故每一代神王都是殺了上一代後而上位的,下筆至此,才發覺,故事中說,預言這些神王會被自己的兒女推翻,這叫做預言嗎?不是必定會發生的事情嗎?只是早或晚而已。
既然故事是以宙斯為主角,其自然繼承了「天空」的權柄,以閃電為號,兄弟波塞頓則為「海洋」之神,以三叉戟為號,至於黑帝斯,只剩下可憐沒人要的「冥界」,因而腳邊會有一隻三頭地獄犬;其他的故事,就以宙斯的兒子女兒這些神,或是半神為主了。

至於希臘羅馬神名對照表,由於這兩者常見於電影或是小說等創作中,若不理解,其實對於故事背後隱藏含意就無法完整體會,真的是挺有幫助的整理。例如:
原來宙斯是希臘神名,羅馬神名則是朱比特Jupiter,
月光女神的希臘神名是阿特蜜斯Artemis,羅馬神名則是黛安娜Diana,
戰神的希臘神名是阿瑞斯Ares,羅馬神名則是馬爾斯Mars,
小愛神的希臘神名是艾若斯Eros,羅馬神名則是丘比特Cupid,
冥神的希臘神名是黑帝斯Hades,羅馬神名則是普魯托Pluto。

[Taiwan] 台北,捷運中山國中站,回憶橫丁居食屋 (Memory Lane Bar)

某個週五晚上,在捷運中山國中站附近找到了這家居酒屋─回憶橫丁,我在這兒度過了一個愉快的夜晚,和兩位店員天南地北的聊,覺得這個晚上真是特別,男店員其實是第一天來這兒當店員,他其實是幫老闆賣清酒的業務,因為老闆不在,臨時來代班,只能說真是找對人了,和每一桌客人都能聊得上話,外場的另一位女侍也很有趣,她剛離職,正在找工作,只是在這兒打工,都不算是正式員工,但都能帶給我很好的感覺,應該說老闆太會挑人了嗎~上面的照片應該是老闆畫的日本地圖,標示出了日本有代理的日本清酒廠,因為多聊了幾句,知道了這個故事,但也因為如此,離開的時候,忘了拍店面的照片了~哈~
On a Friday night, I find a izakaya near the Zhongshan Junior High School Metro Station. It's a good night that I chat a lot with the waiter and the waitress. It's really interesting that the waiter is the first night to work there because he actually is a Sales of Sake (same boss of this izakaya). And the waitress is also a part time worker. They bring me a wonderful night and maybe drink too much, so I forget to take a photo of the izakaya, the Memory Lane Bar.



菜單,剛看到時,覺得價位有點偏高,直到店員跟我說,他們的份量基本上是抓兩到三人份在出的,就覺得差不多。 
To be honest, the price is a little bit higher than I expect, which means may be higher than general price. The waiter tells that they provide each dish for 2 to 3 people to eat. I guess this is why the price is higher.

其實另外還有酒單,只是因為我一般都喝生啤酒,就沒拍了,沒想到後來有個客人跟我說,這兒的Highball很好喝(Highball算是從日本傳過來的說法,簡單講就是威士忌加汽水),再加上這位業務很自豪地說,他們家的清酒若說是台北第二,恐怕沒人敢說第一,呵,看來下次該找人來這兒喝喝其他酒~
There is another menu for wine. I didn't take the photo since I usually drink draft beer. There is a guest once join the conversation and recommend me to try highball, which means whiskey plus soft drinks in Japan. Next time I'll try. 


免費的小菜,這碟泡菜對我來說有點太辣,不過清脆的白菜口感又很好吃。
The free appetizer, the kimchi. For me, it's spicy and crispy. It tastes good.


這道鱈魚肝讓我相當驚艷,很軟,很甜,再加上每一塊都超大塊,吃起來超過癮,一塊接一塊。180元。
The cod liver. It's a really good start. The cod liver is so delicious, soft and sweet. So yummy.


這是招牌菜,橫丁炒出前一丁,簡單講就是炒泡麵,我喜歡它的偏硬口感,我喜歡吃的泡麵硬度,剛好三分鐘就起鍋,口味上我覺得還好,沾了湯汁會更好吃,還算是不錯。150元。
The fried instant noodles, the chef special of it. I like the noodles, a little bit hard. This is how I like when eat instant noodles. I recommend to eat it with the sauce, Don't forget to stir it before eating, it tastes better.


天使紅蝦刺身,頭的部分炸得非常酥脆,全部可以入口;刺身部位超級好吃,新鮮,甘甜,能引發食慾的美味~180元。
The Argentine (Argentinian) red shrimp or Langostino, the scientific name is Pleoticus muelleri. The head is fried really crispy so you can directly eat it. The body is sashimi, It's fresh, sweet and luscious. 


玉米筍,我覺得玉米筍算是今天比較普通的,跟一般相比,比較小隻,也比較不甜,不知玉米筍是不是也受產季影響?上網查了一下,產季是五到八月,現在已是四月底...或許就沒買到那麼甜的吧。 100元。
The corn on the cob, I guess the quality today may not be that good. It's not that sweet than I expect and also smaller.



培根干貝卷,自從幾個月前,第一次吃到培根干貝卷,發現這道美味之後,只要居酒屋有賣,我基本上都會點,培根與干貝的軟嫰,甜美,真的搭配得太棒了,再加上一些洋蔥丁稍微淡化一下,真的是人間美味,想一卷接著一卷,正好一份就是四卷,真的是大大再加分,吃得好癮!250元。
The scallop with beacon, it's something that I always order when I tried months ago. The soft taste and the sweet flavor from the beacon and scallop are so matched, so finger-licking. Because of that, it serves with 4 pieces is a BIG plus!


金槍烏賊鹽燒,烤得非常好,稍微有點軟,更多的是QQ的口感,搭配一點胡椒鹽,引出烏賊本身的甜味,滿足極了~280元。
The grilled squid. I like this so much, it's chewy and zesty. 



那位清酒業務非常自豪這一杯生啤,泡泡非常的細,喝起來真的可以用「軟嫰」來形容,而且他說,這兒的容器保存得非常好,就跟剛從林口的酒廠釀出來的一樣,雖說我沒喝過剛釀出來的生啤,但我必須說,這杯生啤真的很棒,非常順口好喝,再加上氣氛影響下,這是我第一次在居酒屋點了第二杯的生啤。
The draft beer, the waiter is proud that it's like just produced from the winery in Linkou. It's sweet and soft, very easy to drink. It's so good that I have a second cup.

最後結帳金額是1,500元,所以一杯生啤應該是180元。
Total expense is NTD 1,500.

[Japan] 京都,下京區,牛排專賣店─京都勝牛 京都駅前 (Kyoto Katsugyu)

參觀完東本願寺,肚子也有點餓了,再加上時間還算早,才十一點初頭而已,決定就到附近的京都勝牛來吃最近在日本似乎很紅的炸牛排!聽說十二點之後就會有許多的上班族來排隊,趁空檔來吃美味~ 
After visited Higashi Honganji, it's about 15 minutes pass 11 o'clock, it's time for lunch. It's kind of early, so I walk to Kyoto Katsugyu for my lunch. I heard that there may be a long line after 12 o'clock.


一翻開菜單,似乎主推兩道料理,特選和牛以及黑毛和牛,既然難得來一趟,就選貴的吧!哈~ 
The menu, it's famous of the fried steak. I ordered the steak of Kuroge wagyu.


當時沒注意到工作檯上放滿了啤酒瓶,上官網一查,似乎這兒的啤酒也挺不錯的,可惜當時因為才中午,沒有點來嚐嚐。 
It seems that it is also famous of the bear. Since it's just noon, I didn't get a bottle of bear. It's a little bit pity.

附了一顆溫泉蛋,拌入白飯之後,那滑嫰口感~真是美味~ 
The liquid egg is kind of Japanese style and I love it. So I mixed it with the rice to enjoy the flavor.




炸牛排的部分,每個位子前都有說明,如何用六種方式品嚐這只炸了六十秒就起鍋的美味牛排,我每一種都嚐試了,記得最喜歡的,還是最簡單的,沾一點鹽巴,提個味,這塊只炸了兩三分熟的牛肉就美味得不得了~完全可以想像為何炸牛排會引起一鼓風潮,如果有機會來到京都,別忘了可來這間離京都車站十分鐘不到的京都勝牛(京都駅前)追一下流行喔!
The fried steak. There are 6 ways to eat the steak with different sauces explained by the board. I tried every way and all of them are good, because the steak is good. The chef just cooked it for 60 seconds which means it's kind of raw inside. It's really soft with the sweat flavor of beef. The fried steak is a new fashion in Japan, if you have a chance to come to Kyoto, it's worth for you to spend an hour to try it here.
