The Tōdai-ji is located at the North-west of the Nara Park. There are several temples in the area, includes Tōdai-ji,
The map of Tōdai-ji.
It highlights that Tōdai-ji is the World Heritage.
The Great South Gate (nandaimon), is a National Treasure.
These two figures are Ungyo, which by tradition has a facial expression with a closed mouth, and Agyo, which has an open mouthed expression.
Here I met a really friendly fawn. Even he doesn't have the cookies on hand, he can still touch him.
I don't know why there is a traditional boat in this pool. It looks peaceful.
The torii of Tamukeyama Hachiman Shrine.
The bell tower.
The Hokke-dō (Sangatsu-dō).
The Tamukeyama Hachiman Shrine is where I can find some maples in this area. I even found a couple taking photos with the beautiful red maples.
