看完夜景,回到新宿,隨意在附近逛逛,尋找晚餐,由於二樓大大的煎餃招牌,再加上記得在網路上,看到台灣部落客們對煎餃評價不一,就覺得應該要自己嚐嚐看,釐清一下,確定自己對日本煎餃的看法,不要人云亦云,於是就走上了二樓的涉谷餃子─新宿西口店。
We tried to find something for dinner at Shinjuku after took photos for the night view of Tokyo. I heard that the dumplings in Japan has different taste than in Taiwan. We also eat dumplings for many years, the taste may be different in two places. On Internet, some bloggers like it, but most don't. Tonight, we would like to try it by ourselves and provide our own comments.
或許因為涉谷餃子是間頗大的連鎖餐廳,桌上直接附了中文,英文與日文菜單,點起餐來很方便,既然主要是來吃餃子的,直接就點了廿顆煎餃與一些配菜。
I guess the Shibuya Dumplings is a chain restaurant serves many visitors, so it has the Mandarin menu which is easier for us to order. Since we want to try dumplings here, we ordered 20 pieces of Grilled Gyoza.
先點了一杯Asahi的生啤,後來在桌上宣傳單看到香菜雞尾酒在特價,實在很好奇,就點了一杯來嚐嚐,雖然香菜很新鮮很香,但味道卻調合得不太好,口味真的挺怪的,不建議大家嚐試。
The drinks. The 2nd one seems to be the mojito with many parsley. The different alcohol and the parsley don't fit well, so it's a little bit weird for the taste, don't try.
唐揚炸雞,雖然每一塊都不大,仍然炸得很好,外皮酥脆,內裡多汁,有彈性,好吃。
The fried chicken, it's juicy although each piece is a little bit small.
豆芽炒韮菜,豆芽和韮菜都很新鮮,既甜且脆,炒得很好吃。
The Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts and Chinese Chives, it's crispy and fresh, really good.
擔心只有餃子會吃不飽,另外點了一個蛋炒飯,炒得很好,飯粒粒粒分明,都有沾到蛋汁,稍微乾硬,吃起來一口接一口,很棒的炒飯。
The beautiful fried rice, the rice is dry and hard with the flavor of egg. It's really good.
最後就是漂亮的廿顆煎餃,那個微焦香酥的感覺,真的是視覺一百分,直到咬了一口,我的老天鵝呀,這個反差也太大了吧!或許有一點是因為台日兩地喜好的不同,但我真心覺得不好吃,台灣很平常的八方雲集的鍋貼都比這好吃多了,以後來到日本,煎餃列為「不吃的食物」!
The grilled gyoza, it looks so beautiful with the three lines. When I tried, oh God, I will never try the dumplings (at least grilled dumplings) in Japan again. It's not my food.
